Three Colours Art exhibition | Opening Reception
AGBU Armenia and Artbeep cordially invite you to the opening reception of the “Three Colours” Art Exhibition, organized as a tribute to the colouristic tradition of Armenian art. Three colours of the Armenian flag – red, blue and orange - emblematise the Armenian nature and at least one of them can be found in every painting exhibited. The participating artists belong to different generations, but each of them has developed their own idea of capturing the colours of the world around them.
Throughout the centuries Armenian artists devoted themselves to finding the perfect colour – the vividness, the depth, the matches of the shades. Medieval masters elaborated the ways of preparing incredibly durable paint that would last centuries and not lose even a bit of its brightness.
A new school of modern art continued the old traditions of painting, where colour played an extremely important role and after 1960s renaissance Armenian art once again shone and sparkled with vivid shades of blue, red, orange, yellow and green.
