Vinyasa Flow Special Yoga Class with Armen Menechyan

Yoga came into my life in my early 20s. Yoga helped me come out and to become very honest with myself and those who I loved most. It also gave me the courage and fearlessness to start my life as a traveller. In 2004, I studied abroad in Cordoba, Spain, got my MA from Columbia in 2008 in Education and packed up my stuff, moved to Barcelona in 2009, got married, got divorced and moved back to my hometown of Los Angeles, CA. Life happened, as they say. Meanwhile teaching History and Philosophy at an International High School in Barcelona, I got to travel to five continents and more than 20 countries. The encounters, experiences and life lessons I learned are what I want to share with my readers. At times, when doubt set in, I knew I could count on my yoga mat and my travel experiences. Numerous times, I just packed my mat and traveled. When I moved to LA in 2014, I was only able to make one serious commitment: taking my yoga practice to a new level. Repatriation and separation from my lovely city of Barcelona, was unbearable. Dealing with my recent divorce was also a major factor. But, yoga was there for me so in August of 2015, when I obtained my certification, I knew my journey had just begun. I left a very fruitful career, to continue an idea I had created earlier that year while in Rio De Janeiro, PackYourMat.com. I packed my mat and I am on that journey. I will be going to Nepal, right after Yerevan for a one month silent meditation and Buddhist course. What I find with the beauty of this journey is that the path slowly reveals itself as I've opened myself to the experiences. I am happy to share part of this experience with you.
