Reading Marathon: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

To mark America’s (April 9-15) and Armenia’s National Library Week (April 17-23), the American Corner at Yerevan Central Library will hold a Mark Twain Reading Marathon on April 18.
We will begin reading Mark Twains’ novel ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ out loud at 10:00am, and invite library patrons and interested participants to join our continuous reading until the book is done.
Reading will be both in Armenian and English. Each participant, in turn, will read a segment of the story out loud for approximately five minutes each.
The reading marathon will be live broadcast by the Embassy’s YouTube Channel. American Corners Gyumri, Vanadzor, Charentsavan and Kapan will join the marathon via web live video connection.

Հայկական ազգային գրադարանային շաբաթվա (17-23, ապրիլի 2017թ.) ծրագրի շրջանակներում Երևանի Ավ․ Իսահակյանի անվան քաղաքային կենտրոնական գրադարանի ամերիկյան անկյունը ապրիլի 18-ին կազմակերպում է ընթերցանության մարաթոն։ Գրադարանի ընթերցողներին հրավիրում ենք մասնակցելու ընթերցանության մարաթոնին, որի անցկացման օրը կհայտարարենք առաջիկա օրերին։
Յուրաքանչյուր մասնակից կարող է գրքից բարձրաձայն կարդալ մի հատված հայերեն կամ անգլերեն՝ մինչև 5 րոպե տևողությամբ։ Ընթերցանության մարաթոնին կարող եք հետևել նաև առցանց՝ ամերիկյան դեսպանատան YouTube-յան էջով։ Նախատեսվում է ուղիղ միացումներ Գյումրիի, Վանաձորի, Չարենցավանի և Կապանի ամերիկյան անկյունների հետ։
