Հայաստանի պետական կամերային նվագախումբը կներկայացնի բացառիկ «Jazzical Komitas» համերգային նախագիծը՝ միաձուլելով հայկական հոգևոր ու ազգային երաժշտության խորությունն ու ջազային նորարարության ազատ արտահայտչականությունը։

Նվագախմբի գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և գլխավոր դիրիժոր՝ Վահագն Պապյան։
Համերգի մենակատարն է Նյու Յորքից ժամանած դաշնակահար և կոմպոզիտոր Ջոել Մարտինը։
Համերգը կղեկավարի բրիտանահայ դիրիժոր և տենոր Սիփան Օլահը։

Երևանյան հանդիսատեսն առաջին անգամ հնարավորություն կունենա կենդանի ունկնդրելու Ջոել Մարտինի հեղինակած «Jazzical Komitas» մշակումները՝ Հայաստանի պետական կամերային նվագախմբի կատարմամբ։

Միջազգայնորեն ճանաչված դաշնակահար և կոմպոզիտոր Ջոել Մարտինը (Նյու Յորք) հայտնի է իր դասական վիրտուոզության և ջազային իմպրովիզացիայի պայթուցիկ համադրությամբ։ Նրա համագործակցությունների թվում են համաշխարհային ճանաչում ունեցող արվեստագետներ՝ Ալան Մենկենը, Ֆերգին, Սթիվի Ուանդերը և օպերային լեգենդ Քեթլին Բաթլը։

Չունենալով հայկական ծագում՝ Ջոել Մարտինի կապը Կոմիտասի երաժշտության հետ տևում է ավելի քան վեց տարի։
Նա իրեն անվանում է «ընտրված հայ»՝ իր խոր զգայական մեկնաբանություններով հուզելով հանդիսատեսին Երևանում, Լոս Անջելեսում և Նյու Յորքում։
Նրա նախագիծն արդեն ներառում է երկու ձայնասկավառակ, իսկ երրորդը նախատեսվում է թողարկել՝ Գրեմմիի առաջադրման ժամանակ։
Նրան միանում է բրիտանահայ դիրիժոր և տենոր Սիպան Օլահը (Լոնդոն), որի համագործակցությունը Մարտինի հետ նախագծին հաղորդում է առանձնահատուկ միջազգային և մշակութային խորություն։

Այս համերգը մաս է կազմում «Jazzical Komitas» 2026–2028 թվականների համաշխարհային շրջագայության, որը կընդգրկի 20 քաղաք։
Ջոել Մարտինի, Սիփան Օլահի և Հայաստանի պետական կամերային նվագախմբի առաջին համագործակցությունը տեղի է ունեցել 2025 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 4-ին՝ Նյու Յորքում, որից հետո նախատեսվում են ելույթներ Երևանում և Լոնդոնում։

On June 16 at 7:30 PM,
the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia will present the exceptional “Jazzical Komitas” concert project at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, blending the depth of Armenian sacred and national music with the free expressiveness of jazz innovation.

Soloist: New York-based pianist and composer Joel Martin.
The concert will be conducted by British-Armenian conductor and tenor Sipan Olah.

For the first time, Yerevan audiences will have the opportunity to experience live performances of Joel Martin’s “Jazzical Komitas” arrangements, presented together with the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia.

The National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia presents an exceptional international project — “Jazzical Komitas”, a bold reimagining of Komitas’ musical legacy through the lens of jazz and contemporary classical expression.
Internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Joel Martin (New York) is known for his electrifying synthesis of classical virtuosity and jazz improvisation. His artistic collaborations span global icons such as Alan Menken, Fergie, Stevie Wonder, and opera legend Kathleen Battle. With a performance style that is both technically refined and emotionally expansive, Martin brings a distinctive voice to the modern piano stage.

Although not Armenian by heritage, Joel Martin’s connection to Komitas’ music spans over six years of deep artistic engagement. He describes himself as an “Armenian by choice,” having moved audiences across Yerevan, Los Angeles, and New York with his emotionally charged interpretations of Komitas’ works. His ongoing project has already produced two albums, with a third scheduled for release, as part of a creative journey aiming toward a Grammy nomination.

Joining him is British-Armenian conductor and tenor Sipan Olah (London), whose collaboration with Martin adds a distinctive transnational dimension to the project.
This concert is part of the “Jazzical Komitas” world tour (2026–2028), which will span 20 international cities. The first collaboration between Joel Martin, Sipan Olah, and the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia took place in New York on October 4, 2025, followed by upcoming performances in Yerevan and London.
