European Forum Alpbach Scholarship 2016

Dear Students, The IG Alpbach Armenia, with the support of the American University of Armenia (AUA)’s Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA) Department is hosting the information session about the European Forum Alpbach 2016 [room 212M (Main building)]. The speakers are the Honorary President of the Initiative Group Alpbach Armenia Marine Sargsyan, a Doctoral student at Leiden University, Faculty of Humanities and the Vice President of the Organization Armine Bagiyan, the alumna of the AUA.
The session will provide detailed information about the Alpbach Forum that brings more than 5000 participants from over 75 countries to a tiny village in the Austrian Alps to discuss topics such as health, politics, law, environment, economics, business and more. The speakers will introduce the attendees to all matters related to the Event, including scholarship opportunities, participation requirements, application procedures, and selection criteria. The topic for this year’s forum is “New Enlightenment”. Founded in 1945, the Alpbach Forum was created as an intellectual platform of discussion where Europe’s cultural, scientific and humanitarian heritage could be developed in a future-oriented way and where European integration could be promoted. Since the first meeting in 1945, the Austrian “Hochschulwochen” have taken place every year, and since 1949 these meetings became known as “European Forum Alpbach”.
