Talin 5K Fun Run

Come join us in Talin for the Talin 5K Fun Run (or jog or walk or hang out)! Whether you want to prepare for the Yerevan Half Marathon on October 16th or just come out to chill, it's going to be a good time.
The Talin 5K is organized by the Talin Women's Resource Center. The purpose of this year's fun run is to support the economic empowerment of the women and youth in Talin and the surrounding villages. Donations will go to fund trainings, workshops, and other activities focused on providing life and entrepreneurial skills to women and youth.

Directions to Talin from Yerevan:
Come to the 16th Taghamas and take the Northern highway from Yerevan to Gyumri (M1 on Google maps directions). Once you have crossed the Talin city limits, you can take the main road down to the park where the race will start.

Race day registration will start at 9 A.M. on Khanjyan street, up until the begininng of the race, which will be approximately 12 noon on Saturday, September the 17th. The race route will start and end at a park near the center of the city. Medals will be given to the top 3 women and men. There will also be prizes raffled off immediately after the race.

After the race, you are welcome to stay for lunch at a restaurant in the park. We have spoken with the owner and he will host us. You will have to pay for lunch, but there will be discounts if there are at least 50 people dining.

There is also sightseeing in Talin and the surrounding areas. After or before the race you can visit the Cathedral of Talin(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_Talin) , a 7th century church which is a 15 minute walk from race end. There is also an 11th century fortress (Dashtadem Fortress, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashtadem_Fortress), which is about 8 kilometers from the finish line.
