Welcome to AEON English Club, for anyone who wishes to practise their English discussing a different topic every fortnight! This week we welcome Mica, who will guide us through the colourful world of 80s pop!
Synthesizers...music videos...pretty boys and androgynous girls...pop music of the 1980s had it all. In this talk, Dr. Mica Hilson, Professor of English & Communications at American University of Armenia, will reveal what was so innovative about the "new wave" music of the 1980s. He'll also lead a discussion exploring why this music remains so beloved and so influential in the present day.
