The US Presidential Elections 2016: the New Beginning
The US politics are global politics!
Last Tuesday, on November 8, 2016, the United States 58th and most recent quadrennial US Presidential Elections was held. The Republican nominee Donald Trump defeated the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump will take the Oval Office as the 45th President on January 20, 2017.
Meanwhile, everyone is busy with posting on the social networks, we at AEGEE-Yerevan in cooperation with the Regional Studies Center are pleased to inform you that on Saturday, November 12th, you will have a unique opportunity to come and discuss how the recent elections outcomes will influence the rest of the world, including Armenia.
The main aim of the roundtable discussion is developing a comprehensive and multilateral discussion on the recent outcomes of the Presidential Elections and its consequences for the global affairs, including Armenia and post-Soviet space. The recent US Elections and election of Donald Trump has also a significant importance for the further understanding of the Armenian-American relations and possible implications.
We are honored to host Mr. Richard Giragossian, the Founding Director of the Regional Studies Center and Mr. Armenak Minasyants, the Founder/Executive Director of AEGEE-Yerevan as our guest speakers, who will deliver short introductory remarks and will engage into a dynamic one hour off-record discussion with the participants.
The event will be attended by Yerevan-based students, researchers, academia representatives, youth workers, who represent various educational institutions and local non-governmental organizations.
The event will take place at 13:30 on 12 November, 2016 at premises of AEON (3 Teryan Street, Yerevan, Armenia). The official working language of the event is English. No interpretation will be provided.
