Film screened around the exhibition “The Genocide of the Armenians of the Ottoman Empire”

Four times in three decades, Serge Avédikian returned to Sölöz, the village of his grandparents, not far from Boursa, in Turkey. The director and the inhabitants of Sölöz walk the streets, the fields, in search of what has remained of the life of the Armenians, in an obstinate quest for traces. From these successive returns, between past and present, the film weaves a personal narrative and unfolds the history of the village of Sölöz: the deportation of the Armenians, the settlement of Balkan Muslims in the village, the dialogue and the possible Armenian-Turkish rapprochement.
